Defender IT Consulting ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit licensing-portal.com, request portal access, or book a review with us. Defender IT Consulting is a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider, and this site is how we set up Microsoft licensing portal access. Our other site, defenderit.consulting, has its own privacy policy that covers our wider IT advisory, procurement, and cybersecurity services. The two sites share the same advertising and analytics accounts, so a visit here can be recognized there and the other way round.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in various ways, including: Personal Information such as your name, business email address, and company name when you request portal access or book a review. Licensing Information such as the Microsoft license types and quantities you tell us about, and any notes you add to the form. Technical Information like your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view when you visit this site.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: Set up and provision your Microsoft licensing portal, Prepare and deliver a complimentary licensing review, Respond to your inquiries, Send you communications about your licensing (with your consent), Improve this site, Measure which advertising brings people here, and Comply with legal obligations.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in specific circumstances: with trusted Service Providers, including the tools named in Section 7 and Microsoft as the licensing vendor, to meet Legal Requirements, in the event of Business Transfers, or With Your Consent.
4. Data Security
As a technology advisory firm, we implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including encryption and access controls. This site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Advertising and analytics identifiers are retained by the companies named in Section 7 under their own retention schedules.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information, and the right to opt out of marketing communications. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 11. Section 7 explains how to opt out of the tracking on this site.
7. Tracking Technologies and Advertising
This site uses cookies and similar tracking tools. A few are ours. Most belong to other companies. This section explains what runs on the site, what it collects, and how to turn it off.
What runs on this site
Google Analytics 4 (G-HXN4ZLZHDQ). This tells us how people use the site. It collects the pages you view, how long you stay, roughly where you are by city, and what device and browser you use. It gives your browser a random ID. It does not tell us your name. This data goes to Google.
Google Ads conversion tag (AW-787412499). This tells us when a visit turns into a portal access request or a booked review. It also lets us show you ads for Defender IT after you leave. That is called remarketing. It collects the pages you view and the actions you take here. This data goes to Google.
LinkedIn Insight Tag (partner IDs 5457500 and 9640756). This tells us when a visit turns into a lead, and it lets us show you Defender IT ads on LinkedIn. We run two partner IDs because this site and defenderit.consulting report into the same LinkedIn advertising account. LinkedIn may recognize you if you are signed in as a member. LinkedIn reports results to us in groups, not as a named list. This data goes to LinkedIn.
HubSpot. HubSpot is our customer records system. When you send the portal access form on this site, or book a review through the scheduler on this page, your details go to HubSpot so we can reply and keep a record. HubSpot also sets a cookie that records the pages you view here, and our form reads that cookie so it can connect your request to your earlier visits. This data goes to HubSpot.
Make. When you send the portal access form, a copy of the name, company, email address, and license quantities you entered is sent to Make, the workflow tool that alerts our licensing team so someone picks your request up quickly. Make does not set a cookie and does not track your browsing. It only receives what you typed into the form.
RB2B. This tells us which companies are visiting the site, and often which person, even if you never send a form. It matches your visit at both the person level and the company level. It uses cookies, device identifiers, and your IP address to do that. This data goes to RB2B.
We use this for advertising
We use Google and LinkedIn advertising to reach people who have visited this site. Your visit here can help decide whether you see our ads later, on other websites and on LinkedIn. Because this site and defenderit.consulting share the same Google and LinkedIn accounts, a visit to either one can affect the ads you see for either one.
Cookie controls on this site
These tools load when you open a page. This site does not use a cookie consent banner, and it does not currently respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Use the controls below to opt out.
How to opt out
Your browser. Every major browser can block or delete cookies, including third-party cookies. Look in your browser's privacy settings. Blocking cookies may affect parts of this site, such as the meeting scheduler.
Google ads. Change how Google targets ads at My Ad Center.
Google Analytics. Install Google's opt-out add-on.
LinkedIn ads. Change your LinkedIn ad settings.
RB2B. Opt out of RB2B's visitor matching at app.retention.com/optout.
Many advertisers at once. Use the industry opt-out pages at optout.networkadvertising.org and optout.aboutads.info.
Opting out does not stop you seeing ads. It stops them being aimed at you based on your visit here.
These companies handle your information under their own privacy policies: Google, LinkedIn, HubSpot, Make, and RB2B.
8. Third-Party Links
This site contains links to third-party websites, including Microsoft and the scheduling and opt-out pages named above. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
